Texas relied too much on their starting quarterback, and even though their second string quarterback gave it his all, they still lost. No matter, win or lose, I am a Texas Longhorn fan until the day I die.

Moment of Stillness. . . 4/365

"The ideal of calm exists in a sitting cat."
-Jules Reynard

Anyone who has ever owned a cat knows that in actuality, the cat owns you. I can hardly get this cat to let me pet her unless it's initated by her. However I was able to capture this picture of her sitting calmly next to me, something I have barely seen from her. Normally she is full of energy and running around without stopping.

And It Comes Down. . . 02/365

"We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise we harden."
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Today is the day that the Christmas tree is coming down, and gets put away for another 11 months. It's always a sad day for me when I have to take the tree down, like a part of me is getting hidden away for most of the year. Every year it seems as though I put up the tree and decorations earlier and earlier; maybe it's because I get almost child-like in the essence of the holidays. So cheers to this past holiday season, and so begins my personal countdown until the next begins.

Time For Change. . . 01/365

"They say that time changes things, but you have to actually change them yourself."
-Andy Warhol

Sometimes, you have to take a breather and look back on yourself to see what really needs to be changed. Most of the time, it's not the things you feel you need to change, but are in how you view yourself and others.  This evening, I saw myself in the mirror in a different light, and realized that if I truly want to change my appearance, it does not change who I am. Hopefully others can make this realization for themselves.
